Bird Counts

We have several bird count reports available on-line; many thanks to our bird count compilers for hard work in preparing the reports.

The Society organizes three local Christmas Bird Counts which conform to the National Audubon Society count standard: all day counts within a 24 km diameter circle during the count period from December 14th to January 5th. These circles are centered on the river near Clark’s Crossing (including the communities of Martensville, Warmen, Osler and parts of the Strawberry Hills), Saskatoon, and Pike Lake.

Details of all Saskatchewan Christmas Bird counts are published in the Nature Saskatchewan’s publication, “Blue Jay”, or you may visit the Audubon database to view results of all past counts.
